Buck's reputation, that he can't win the big games

It was truly embarrassing watching the Orioles this ALCS and this may be where Bucks reputation comes in that he is not a playoff caliber manager. Are we not starting to see it ring true?

He has a reputation of taking teams far then choking. We were a better team than the Giants. Yet got swept.

A lot of the Royals ALCS was in the O's heads that they can't win. While a great playoff manager, like Bochy, is able to keep his players calm despite the other teams luck.

Manny, Wieters and Davis the Orioles don't get swept.

Yeah I think those three finally being out finally caught up to us. And honestly it's not like KC was killing us. They got a ton of breaks. Felt like they got every bloop hit and every hard ball we hit was at one of their guys. Not saying that we didn't disappoint in the ALCS but it's wrong to put the ALCS loss on Buck. A break here or there and we could have just as easily swept them. Anyhow, if the Royals can come down to the tying run in Game 7 of the WS with Ned Yost as manager, we can win with Buck.

Who should manage this team?

That's a crock so far as I'm concerned. Sometimes you lose to a hot team, that doesn't mean you choked. And if anyone did choke, it wasn't because of Buck. I have no idea what he was like when he managed his previous teams, but his demeanor as Orioles manager is perfect in my opinion.

KC was incredibly lucky. No doubt the O's were a better team than both the Giants and Royals, in a 162-game schedule. But playoffs, well, what did Buck say? We played 7 games in 17 days? That kind of postseason schedule is going to favor teams with a dominant bullpen back end (Royals) that they can run out there every game, and teams with one dominant starter (Giants/Mad Bum) that they can throw 3 times in one series.

The playoffs are a crap shoot. We got a heavily depleted team to win the division and get to the ALCS. We just ran into a team that was playing well and having every single imaginable break go their way. Hell, a Ned Yost team made it to the WS in spite of him and his bad in game decisions.

Buck is the best manager we've had since Davey Johnson. I'd be in no hurry to replace him.

I'd say your reputation is probably more in question. And Bumgarner.

We were great against the Tigers. Who were far superior the they Royals and would beat them 15 out of 20 times.

This thread is a joke haha. Buck is the best thing that has happened to this team in years. The players would revolt if we replaced him.

I have no idea where people come up with these wildly off the wall concepts. I feel almost creepy reading them.
